Service Policy
Our Service Delivery Guidelines
We have established a service policy to provide our services efficiently. By agreeing to our service policy in advance, we can ensure smooth project execution and effectively support your business.
Intellectual Property Rights
- Based on the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency’s Guidelines on Intellectual Property Transactions, copyright of deliverables belongs to our company. We grant you usage rights (license) within the scope specified in the contract. The scope of usage rights (reproduction, modification, redistribution, etc.) will be defined in detail in individual contracts. Industrial property rights such as inventions, devices, and designs shall in principle belong to our company, but joint applications may also be possible through separate discussions.
Communication
- Except for specific meetings agreed upon in advance, such as kickoff meetings, all business communications will be conducted via email or chat tools such as Slack. In the case of Slack, we do not use voice calls. Since work requires high concentration, we request that you refrain from phone calls or similar forms of contact.
- We do not accept visits, business trips, or on-site work/meetings in principle. If exceptionally required, additional fees will apply.
- Meetings are paid and limited to the number specified in the contract. Additional meetings will incur separate charges.
Deliverables from Research and Development Projects
- Due to the nature of research and development projects, deliverables are not structured for maintainable long-term use, making it difficult to provide maintenance services. If you require maintenance services, a complete rewrite as maintainable software will first be necessary, requiring additional man-hours and costs.
Payment
- Payment shall be made by bank transfer to the designated account by the end of the month following the month-end closing (early payment is welcome). Invoices will in principle be issued at the end of each month. We do not accept payment by check or promissory note.
Contracts
- We will conclude a contract before commencing work. This is intended to clarify the rights and responsibilities of both parties, ensure smooth business execution, and prevent troubles. Please note that violation of contract terms may constitute grounds for contract termination.
Definition of Deliverables
- The scope, content, and delivery format of deliverables will be clearly defined in the contract or individual purchase order. Content not defined shall not be included in the deliverables.
